Upgrade to Vista, the newest operating system by Microsoft!
Easier:
See everything you're working on more clearly with Windows Aero, and quickly switch between windows or tasks using Windows Flip 3D and Live Thumbnails. You can easily find what you need—when you need it―with Instant Search and live icon previews that display the actual contents of your files. And while you're at it, give your personal productivity a boost with instant access to the information you care about using Windows Sidebar and Gadgets. Put these easy-to-use and customizable mini-applications on your desktop and reveal the information you're looking for at a glance.
Safer:
Back up and preserve all of the content you store on your PC—those priceless digital photos, important documents, home movies, and the music you spent time ripping—with Windows Backup. Exploring online will come with more peace of mind using Windows Internet Explorer 7, which helps protect your PC and your personal information against malicious software, fraudulent websites, and online phishing scams. With centralized Parental Controls, you can manage your family's safety more easily by determining the access to certain Internet sites, games played by rating, and even the amount of time your children can spend on your computer during the week. And with Windows Defender keeping watch over your PC, you can avoid pop-ups, slow performance, and security threats caused by spyware and other unwanted software that tries to find its way onto your PC.
More Entertaining:
Windows Media Center changes the way you enjoy recorded TV, photos, music, home videos, and DVDs on your PC. Whether sitting in front of your PC using the mouse or sitting on your couch using a Windows Media Center remote control, you can sit back and enjoy your entertainment, on your own time. There's no need to limit the Windows Media Center experience to your PC either. Using your Xbox 360 that's connected to your home wired or wireless network, you can enjoy the Windows Media Center experience through a TV in other rooms around your home.
Better Connected:
Take all of your entertainment with you―virtually anywhere you go―with Windows Media Center on a mobile PC. You can optimize the power and mobile settings that are critical to keeping you connected while on the go—all from one place―with the Windows Mobility Center. Using the Windows Sync Center will help to ensure that all of your music, contacts, and pictures are in sync with your other mobile devices, so they're ready to go when you are. Network and Sharing Center provides easy access to the wireless networks you use, whether at home or around town at your favorite hotspot, keeping you connected and more productive wherever you are. And, while you're on the go, work the way you want with touch and digital ink input and handwriting. Windows Tablet and Touch Technology makes your notebook PC experience truly personal.Still leary of switching to Vista?Ask about our dual boot installations and get the best of both worlds.
